Transfer credit will not be given for any college courses taken while in high school if these courses were used in obtaining the high school diploma. Summer and Winter Break Programs

For consideration in RPI’s admissions process, Glimpse videos must be submitted by 11/15 for Early Decision I, 12/15 for Early Action, 1/10 for Early Decision II, and 1/29 for Regular Decision. In general, if you earn a score of 6 or 7 on the higher-level exam, you will usually be granted academic credit at RPI. Please note that we only defer enrollment, not admission, so you will need to place your $500 enrollment deposit before your defer request will be reviewed.

If you do choose to submit your scores, RPI allows most students to self-report SAT and ACT test scores on the application or through their application portal (available after an application is submitted). Students who choose to enroll at RPI will be required to send their official scores from the testing agency (if they have not already done so). Enrolling students will be required to send official scores for any and all self-reported test scores they submitted in the application process. Students applying to the Physician-Scientist Program will be required to send official scores at the time of application (see below). You can major in almost anything at RPI while preparing yourself for medical school, but most students who want to pursue medical school choose something in our School of Science (often biology or chemistry).

Cambridge Assessment International A-Level Exams

This is a continuation of the temporary suspension of our standardized testing requirement, and it will be re-evaluated for the Fall 2027 application cycle. RPI welcomes students of all identities, abilities, and backgrounds, and aims to provide an equitable and inclusive experience in higher education both in our campus community, and within the classrooms. StatisticsStudents who achieve a grade of 4 or 5 will receive credit for MGMT-2100, Statistical Methods, four credit hours. Non-management majors cannot count the course as part of the Math/Science requirement.

Due to Albany Medical College requirements, students applying to the Physician-Scientist Program will be required to submit the appropriate test scores. Transfer students can expect to receive full credit for courses of comparable depth. RPI will only transfer credit for courses in which you received a grade of “C-” or better. To ensure the most complete evaluation, please have official transcripts sent from all previously attended colleges, and send us course descriptions from all your courses. Students who wish to defer their enrollment may take courses on a non-matriculated basis at another institution.
